Great Doctor!
October of 2017, found me once again looking for a doctor. I had just left a doctor that was more excited about the insurance that I had rather than the care that I needed.
Rather than travel for the tests that he suggested, I elected to find another doctor. The few that I had seen before were not offering me that relationship that I was looking for only a quick review and out the door I went. I googled (don't remember the term) and there was Dr. Leslie S.
Gaskill, located at 6290 Abbott’s Bridge Rd., Duluth, GA 30097 (7**-**5-9995). I scheduled an appointment and saw her in the next few days. She made me feel welcomed, listened to my concerns, gave me a good exam with suggestions of tests that I needed. November 28, 2017 was my 'change' day because on that day I quit smoking!
I left her office, went home and stopped cold turkey......... She has continued to be concerned about me whenever I have seen her. She takes her time, does not rush you and most importantly, listens! Dr.
Gaskill demonstrates compassion and caring with all of her patients. She will tell you what you need to do to have a healthy life and work with you to achieve it.
If you are looking for an excellent doctor that will spend time with you, is knowledgeable and most importantly, cares about you, then she is the one for you. She is a God-send to me.

Beware Of This Doctor
A life changing visit
Dr. Gaskills office seems more interested in fleecing you at ever office visit.
I was a new patient with Dr. Gaskill, very nice lady bedside manner very good.
However they fail to mention certain bits of information when you visit their office. I was asked as a new patient to come fill out paperwork before I can get an appointment, I didn't know I would be charged a full patient visit 200+ dollars just for writing my name on a piece of paper. During my routine yearly physical I felt like I was at a used car dealer, she was trying to add on things to my bill. Then I get a call to come review the results from the physical by there office on a Friday for a Monday appointment.
I realized after the phone call that I had a conflict with my job, so I call at 8am to see if I could change my appointment to a later time. I was told we will have to charge you for that. Right then and there I decided that I would never visit that office again. I asked for my results mailed to me and was told I would have to come in in order to get them.
What money making scheme she has going on.
May be good for some, but not me, I will find another Dr. that is not so money hungry.

Same complaints as everyone. Money making scheme.
Just listen to ALL the bad reviews. There's a common theme but I'll go into greater detail.
I promise, I am not a former employee, I am a real person who went to Dr Gaskill's practice. I went because this was the only private practice near my house that accepts my terrible insurance. If you have a PPO and a copay, it'd be a little better, you'll only be hit for your copay over and over. If you have a high deductible plan, this just isn't going to work..
A few things to be prepared for. a new patient establishment visit at an extreme cost ($170!), a HARD sell on unnecessary tests without regard to risk factors, just everyone gets the pitch. Yeah, she spent a good bit of time with me at the new patient visit, but I feel like I just spent a lot of money to hear a timeshare pitch. She told me a lot of anecdotal stories about famous people who died unexpectedly of heart conditions.
Spent a lot of time saying things like "you have to decide what your health is worth to you". I really liked her personality, demeanor, interest in blending eastern and western medicine, I went because I was really hopeful to build a relationship with what appeared to be a very caring, knowledgable and genuine person. I walked away having been told for about 30 minutes that if I care about my health, I'll start on her program. I got a list of medical codes to start researching, and we're talking tests to the tune of easily $1000+ for the full panel (I'm in my 30s and in great physical shape) - but her outlook was you need to do the full screen and then we'll recommend a treatment plan, and recheck in a few months.
We're talking $1000 for each set of tests, and $90 office visit to take the test, $90 office visit to review the test, and then repeat every few months? (Btw, if your insurance is actually good, most of these tests are still not covered based on my research, but at least you won't be hit as hard on office visits). My real beef though is that this was not based on preexisting concerns, family history or risk factors, just because this is her standard battery of tests. It is THE protocol.
When I asked what I would be getting a treatment plan for, she told me she had never seen a patient that didn't have something they needed work on. Ok. When I asked what kind of treatment plan she's talking about, she said sometimes diet and exercise, but typically drugs. Went on to say that side effects are negligible in comparison to a risk heart attack or stroke.
Ok....... All that to say, if you'd like to pay about $170 to have the conversation that I just had, by all means, she's a lovely person, and I'm sure she has some tests that she could refer you to and have you come back in to review in detail.
