Dr. Gaskill is awesome! Her combination of traditional and holistic/functional medicine is unmatched by any single physician I have ever seen. She is on the cutting edge for regenerative, restorative, treatments, and has an unseeingly unmatched track record for heart attack and stroke prevention. She always seems to be one of the first trained in so many unique services – she’s a true “trend setter”.

Dr. Gaskill is my doctor, great experience, she helped me work through my pain, and does great follow up. she pays attention to detail and is very thorough with her work. we went through the billing process. they helped with my insurance . i was very pleased with the rates i was charged, great service Happy i felt very good about my choice of having her as my doctor i highly recommend to anyone needing a family doctor. Reasonable wait times.i know wait time varies with each patient. patients have different needs some may need a little more time. I get that! Dr Gaskill takes really good care of her patients. Great staff, very helpful in finding my way around , made me feel right at home.

Do NOT go here!!!

Charged me $45 for cancelling an appointment when I called 24 hours in advance and $25 to be given my lab results after I already paid $150 for the test and $150 for the appointment! This place is the worst service I’ve ever received at a doctors office! Also, they are always at least 30 min late when you arrive to your appointment! Even if you get there early! It’s absolutely the WORST! Do NOT go here!

Great Doctor!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

October of 2017, found me once again looking for a doctor. I had just left a doctor that was more excited about the insurance that I had rather than the care that I needed.

Rather than travel for the tests that he suggested, I elected to find another doctor. The few that I had seen before were not offering me that relationship that I was looking for only a quick review and out the door I went. I googled (don't remember the term) and there was Dr. Leslie S.

Gaskill, located at 6290 Abbott’s Bridge Rd., Duluth, GA 30097 (7**-**5-9995). I scheduled an appointment and saw her in the next few days. She made me feel welcomed, listened to my concerns, gave me a good exam with suggestions of tests that I needed. November 28, 2017 was my 'change' day because on that day I quit smoking!

I left her office, went home and stopped cold turkey......... She has continued to be concerned about me whenever I have seen her. She takes her time, does not rush you and most importantly, listens! Dr.

Gaskill demonstrates compassion and caring with all of her patients. She will tell you what you need to do to have a healthy life and work with you to achieve it.

If you are looking for an excellent doctor that will spend time with you, is knowledgeable and most importantly, cares about you, then she is the one for you. She is a God-send to me.

Beware Of This Doctor

I think everyone should know that this doctor is obviously trying to gouge her patients. I went to her for a physical and she performed test that she knew my insurance didn't cover. Then I get a bill for these non-covered test. Then her claim is that I signed a document that I would pay what insurance didn't cover. I did sign, it but it was included in the mountains of paperwork that she has you fill out. I guess it is my fault for trustng a doctor more than I trust a used car salesman. If you want good quality care from someone you can trust I suggest you go eslewhere. Read the reviews from Yelp, you will get a better picture. Her staff was polite and even felt embarrased when trying to explain her underhanded ways. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this doctor at all cost.

Dr. Gaskills office seems more interested in fleecing you at ever office visit.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was a new patient with Dr. Gaskill, very nice lady bedside manner very good.

However they fail to mention certain bits of information when you visit their office. I was asked as a new patient to come fill out paperwork before I can get an appointment, I didn't know I would be charged a full patient visit 200+ dollars just for writing my name on a piece of paper. During my routine yearly physical I felt like I was at a used car dealer, she was trying to add on things to my bill. Then I get a call to come review the results from the physical by there office on a Friday for a Monday appointment.

I realized after the phone call that I had a conflict with my job, so I call at 8am to see if I could change my appointment to a later time. I was told we will have to charge you for that. Right then and there I decided that I would never visit that office again. I asked for my results mailed to me and was told I would have to come in in order to get them.

What money making scheme she has going on.

May be good for some, but not me, I will find another Dr. that is not so money hungry.

The Good Doctor

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been going to various doctors over the last four years since a life changing accident. She was the first doctor that I found that actually truly cared about how I felt. She never seemed to be stressed for time or short in her answers to me. She ran some blood test that other doctors never even mentioned. My problem wasn't an easy one but she got to the bottom of it and now at least I have a treatment plan and light at the end of the tunnel. Wish I had found her years ago. I actually can sleep at night now and can stop worrying.

Best doctor I have found

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Dr. Gaskill is the best doctor I have found to really consider the whole person in a treatment plan. The preventive approach and tests have been one of the best things in considering the state of my health. I do not feel that Dr. Gaskill is trying to sale proecdures or get you for more on an office visit. How are patients going to know what is available if not presented. The patient has the right to deny or accept. If your insurance company is not covering the services, then you may have a pretty lousy plan that does not focus on preventive care. My preventive health screening procedures were covered by insurance.

HIPPA violator

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Dr. Gaskill is using my name and medical information in her advertising against my wishes. I and my lawyers have asked her to stop, but she persists. I am not sure why she continues, but I would beware of her and her tactics. She pressured me in many ways beyond my level of comfort. She wanted to be my ONLY doctor even though I had heart problems. She has no clinical cardiology training, beyond reading a few books. I am frustrated that her moral compass is so dim and that my repeated attempts to get my name dis-associated with her practice have failed. Surely this is a HIPPA violation. If you are reading this Dr. Gaskill, and I know you do check this website often, please do me a favor and remove my name from all advertising, from your website, and do not refer to me in the future. Thank you.

This is not a new complaint. Dr Gaskill has cameras in her office/waiting room and at one time was recording conversations.

A Doctor who Truely Cares!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Completely disagree, Dr Gaskill would never violate Hippa, and is over cautious if anything to never violate any of the rules of Hippa? Dr. Gaskill is the only Dr I could find in the area that would take the correct time to spend with a patient, learn about the family History and take a proactive approach to treating my health issues! The problems I see is on the insurance side of the shop where they are reimbursing for less and less every year, and penalizing the doctors especially the private practices! Was shocked to see how many have closed down in the area and across the country because the concerns and pain points coming from the inability to cover costs post insurance reimbursement. But......If you want a Doctor that care's and can help you and your family, the only choice for my family and I is Doctor Gaskill.

Dr Gaskill Life Saver

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I see where a lot of people are saying negative comments about Dr. Gaskill. My experience was quite different. She saw me on a Friday with only a moments notice. Her staff was very polite, and seemed to put my needs first. Her kindness and help quite possibly saved my life. I was new to Atlanta and had no one that could see me at 2:30 on a Friday. I take several medications for my heart, and had only found out that I had lost them during my move. She saw me and re-filled my medications. I don't know what I would have done without her.. Say what you like, but she was GREAT to me..

Same complaints as everyone. Money making scheme.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Just listen to ALL the bad reviews. There's a common theme but I'll go into greater detail.

I promise, I am not a former employee, I am a real person who went to Dr Gaskill's practice. I went because this was the only private practice near my house that accepts my terrible insurance. If you have a PPO and a copay, it'd be a little better, you'll only be hit for your copay over and over. If you have a high deductible plan, this just isn't going to work..

A few things to be prepared for. a new patient establishment visit at an extreme cost ($170!), a HARD sell on unnecessary tests without regard to risk factors, just everyone gets the pitch. Yeah, she spent a good bit of time with me at the new patient visit, but I feel like I just spent a lot of money to hear a timeshare pitch. She told me a lot of anecdotal stories about famous people who died unexpectedly of heart conditions.

Spent a lot of time saying things like "you have to decide what your health is worth to you". I really liked her personality, demeanor, interest in blending eastern and western medicine, I went because I was really hopeful to build a relationship with what appeared to be a very caring, knowledgable and genuine person. I walked away having been told for about 30 minutes that if I care about my health, I'll start on her program. I got a list of medical codes to start researching, and we're talking tests to the tune of easily $1000+ for the full panel (I'm in my 30s and in great physical shape) - but her outlook was you need to do the full screen and then we'll recommend a treatment plan, and recheck in a few months.

We're talking $1000 for each set of tests, and $90 office visit to take the test, $90 office visit to review the test, and then repeat every few months? (Btw, if your insurance is actually good, most of these tests are still not covered based on my research, but at least you won't be hit as hard on office visits). My real beef though is that this was not based on preexisting concerns, family history or risk factors, just because this is her standard battery of tests. It is THE protocol.

When I asked what I would be getting a treatment plan for, she told me she had never seen a patient that didn't have something they needed work on. Ok. When I asked what kind of treatment plan she's talking about, she said sometimes diet and exercise, but typically drugs. Went on to say that side effects are negligible in comparison to a risk heart attack or stroke.

Ok....... All that to say, if you'd like to pay about $170 to have the conversation that I just had, by all means, she's a lovely person, and I'm sure she has some tests that she could refer you to and have you come back in to review in detail.

I too had this very experience. I always had to wait for at least one hour in the waiting room.

I had to take half a day off work just to go to the doctor because she took so long. And it was not with me I was just a 15 minute appt. I had symptoms that she stated were a bladder infection so she tested my urine. then I had to paid for a doctor visit to get the result (which I did not go back for the results, I thought if I have a bladder infection she should be willing to give me medication over the phone).

However, it turned out not to be a bladder infection, I actually had a stone in my bladder (she never referred me out to anyone). I finally went to the ER and they said I had more blood in my urine then they had ever seen and referred me to a urologist. I had to have surgery and I never went back to her. I reported her to my insurance as a fraud!!!

She is the worst doctor I have ever gone to. she would only give you a months supply of medicast and then say you had to come back in for a refill because she needed to know if they were working.

haha, I told her they were but that was not enough. this is just her way to make money to support her private practice, probably because she is not a good enough doctor for anyone else to want her in their practice.

Drug Testing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am glad to see that people are complaining about how she runs her 'business'. I went to her for 11 years. The first 6 were fine, but the last 5 were horrible. I think she is a good doctor and she explains things well but her business ethics are horrible. I was not concierge, but she happened to walk in the patient room I was in and turned around and walked away because she thought I was a concierge patient. I had already waited over an hour. She also started her drug testing before she would re-issue regular prescriptions and had a 'deal' with the lab (a different one than the one she used for other medical testing) that they bill the insurance company but they don't bill her patients for anything the insurance company didn't pay. My insurance is based in Michigan and they would not pay direct to that lab, they sent the checks to us. I had no idea who this company was and then when I looked at the claims, I could not believe how much they had been billing my insurance company. Up to $2500 for a full 'drug' screen and I she did it every 3 months. I caught on after the second time and complained with the office manager. It was all I could do to keep my composure. I have never gone back and we never cashed those checks nor sent them to the lab and told BCBS what was going on. I never got a bill from them so I didn't pay them. I didn't even know what lab it was until I went to her office and spoke to the office manager. I have a new doctor for almost 2 years now that is just as good and he has a large well run office. He is even in the Atlanta magazine as one of the best. All my records are electronic. I have never waited more that 15 minutes to get in and I don't have to get a blood test and doctor check every 3 months for prescriptions I have taken for over 10 years. I was just there yesterday and was so pleased about how much easier it has been since I quit Gaskill. I always left her office angry because of the unbelievable waits and hassle just to get a prescription refilled. It reminded me to see what the reviews were for her lately and decided to post my experience. To all those who think she is a great doctor, I have no dispute but she is only running a business now and will do anything she can to get her patients to do concierge, allergy testing, carotid artery testing, acupuncture and whatever. I very much think she is very unethical. She had a 'deal' with a lab that charged a fortune for a drug screen you can get for $100 somewhere else and the deal included only getting what the insurance company would pay and not to bill her patients direct for anything.
